#AnythingForFamily Desi Drama meets stylish mystery in #TAISH on #ZEE5 – Trailer review on #icdreams

The Actor I didn’t recognise in #Taish!

First off, I saw the trailer and absolutely could not recognise who the actor was who was playing the protagonist Sunny Lalwani! I had to look that up! His acting skills were so strong that I forgot to notice his good looking face! (LOL!)

ALL the other faces I recognised instantly – A brilliant starcast of ACTORS and not just stars! What a refreshing change!

Check out the trailer here to see the line up with actors like Harshvardhan Rane (of the tattoos and dark-chocolate looks), Jim Sarbh (who has excelled at playing nuanced characters, so much so, that I love to hate him!), Kriti Kharbanda (just gorgeous actress, and so relatable) and Sanjeeda Sheikh (of Television fame) and finally, the actor I could not recognise from the trailer : Pulkit Samrat!

And, not to be missed, very good actors in smaller roles like Amit Sadh and Neha Sharma.

Release Date & Format on ZEE5

TAISH will be released on 29th October 2020 on ZEE5.
The movie will be released in TWO (2) formats simultaneously: As a feature film as well as a six (6) episode series.

Now I have never seen, or heard of something like this, and so I am curious to see and experience both the formats for myself J (after all, I can only form an opinion on something that I know, no?!)

The Director

#TAISH is a ZEE5 original film directed by Bejoy Nambiar, a director who has brought an excellent directorial elan to this movie.
He has directed brilliant movies such as Shaitan, David, Wazir and Solo. So, TAISH is actually his fifth directorial feature.

About the movie, Bejoy Nambiar said: “This has been a passion project from the word go and I really hope the audience will acknowledge our labour of hard work”.
– I can definitely see flashes of an interesting storyline and brilliant scenes from the trailer itself.

The Movie Plot

TAISH is an Indian revenge drama, set in a picturesque country estate in the United Kingdom.
It is firm about the test of human emotions in the face of fighting odds, after all, #AnythingforFamily !

It is a story of two (2) friends who consider each other family, and when things get complicated, as they often do in big fat indian destination weddings what comes up is how each of the factions is willing to do #AnythingforFamily, to the extent of turning their own lives upside down!

#Taish has a storyline that seems to be different from the run-of-the-mill family saga-drama we see.
It is a revenge drama with enough twists that it will keep you on tenterhooks as it touches upon many different issues.

#AnyhingforFamily as a theme is quite intriguing with its dark and complicated storylines of two (2) families and the (hidden) connections between them, and with Sarbh describing the film as a “thrilling investigation of male relationships“, I have already reserved my evening of the 29th to watch this movie (yes, the caramel popcorn has been ordered! J )
